THE EQUITY LEDGER / PUBLICATION
The Nasdaq-100 coverage record.
100 company notes, 101 share classes, one October 19, 2026 cutoff.
Coverage basis
The research universe is reconstructed from the Nasdaq-100 component list, whose available version was edited October 10, 2026. It lists 101 securities representing 100 companies. Alphabet’s GOOG and GOOGL are combined into one company note. This is an editorial coverage list, not a licensed official index-composition product.
Fund-holdings cross-check
The official iShares Nasdaq 100 ETF holdings CSV, dated October 16, 2026 when retrieved, contains 101 equity ticker rows. All 101 matched this edition’s coverage list, with no missing or additional equity symbols. Fund holdings are a corroborating source, not certification of an official October 19 closing index file. The download link is dynamic and will change as the fund updates.
Primary-source checks
We checked recent changes against Nasdaq and issuer announcements:
- June 2026 quarterly changes: ALAB, CRWV, NBIS, RKLB, and TER joined, replacing CHTR, CTSH, INSM, VRSK, and ZS, effective June 22.
- Sandisk addition: SNDK replaced TEAM, effective April 20.
- SpaceX index-entry discussion: Nasdaq identifies SPCX’s July 7 addition.
- Moderna addition: MRNA replaced WBD, effective October 9.
- Honeywell Aerospace separation: HONA began separate trading June 29; HON represents the remaining Honeywell Technologies business.
Nasdaq’s official constituent service limits full composition access to registered users. We did not bypass that restriction. Consequently, membership validation is a public-source reconstruction rather than certification against a licensed October 19 closing constituent file.
Interpreting the date
October 19 is the edition’s cutoff. The actual evidence on an individual company may come from an earlier annual report, quarterly release, or announcement. Every article displays that date and provides the underlying links. These are fundamental research notes, not 100 verified end-of-day price or technical analyses.
